SharePoint Training Site
The SharePoint Training Site was put together to support a SharePoint initiative to host department sites across the enterprise.
At the same time, it was determined that the site should house the training for all SharePoint implementations. The site included a page for department site administrators, a page for project managers (PM's utilized a different variation of the product), a page for InfoPath, a page for discussion and "champions" to provide support, and a page for the wiki. The thumbnail above is the home page of the training site, with large task-oriented buttons for quick navigation. To view the page designed for the department sites, use this link. To view a sample step-by-step instruction document, use this link. The site was built out in SharePoint. Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing
The Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing short course was developed as a "homework" assignment for a recruitment process.

TelePresence Landing Page
The TelePresence landing page was designed and built out for the User eXperience Services (UXS) team to support their initiative to make TelePresence training and support available in an online format. Take a moment to check out the Top Tips section on the lower right. The site was built in Lectora 2007, and the forward and back functionality is a result of some complex action groups and variables. None of the other links are functional. Let Me Try Scenario - Captivate
The Let Me Try scenario was created as a way to provide the learners with an opportunity to click around on the screen in a safe environment while including a "hint" as a safety net. It was also designed to provide a more human way of introducing a task in a scenario with a context related to the job role. Actions and variables are utilized, and each step of a task is worth points. Clicking the hint button will provide guidance to the proper step, but it will subtract 5 points from the total possible. At the end of the task, the learner can exit the task or try again. At the end of the course, the learner can see a summary of the Let Me Try scenarios, as well as their "score" on each. It helps the learner get a handle on which topics they may need work on, and provides the learner with an opportunity to return to the topic and review prior to moving on to a scored assessment.
This particular example was built out to share with the Captivate User Group. |
